When she was working in an office, Alanna’s dawn-to-dusk hours meant she saw little of her family. Now, as a freelance proofreader, she controls her own schedule, prioritizes the important things in life and spends quality time with her loved ones.

Working from Home During COVID-19
As an actor, Stephen’s income was suffering from the effects of COVID-19 and the restrictions placed on filming and performances. Freelance proofreading allowed him to earn money from home, while planning acting projects for the future.

Proofreading might not seem like an obvious follow-up to the military, but Cole did exactly that! After 10 years in the army he decided to boost his skills with the Becoming A Proofreader course, and now works as a freelance proofreader and editor.

As a freelance proofreader, poet Alie uses her language skills to help others improve their writing, but also has the flexibility to work on her own creative projects. So far she has self-published a 20-poem chapbook, and her poems have been published in several journals!
