I have always been passionate about writing; however, I initially viewed it as a natural ability with limited career potential, which made pursuing it as a career seem out of the question. Instead, I sought opportunities in another promising field that had always intrigued me, technology. My journey into the tech industry began with my first job as a freelance XML content coder and quality manager at Design Connection, where I contributed to innovative e-learning solutions for clients. In 2024, I expanded my professional skills by adding AI training to my coding resume.

As time went on, I realized my earlier views about a career in writing were misguided. I came to understand that writing is a valuable skill worth pursuing, especially niches such as content writing, which I find particularly appealing. This new perspective motivated me to pursue a career in content writing alongside my tech career. Completing Knowadays’ Becoming A Proofreader course with distinction was a significant milestone on my journey to becoming a content writer; it provided me with transferable skills that acted as a boost to my career in content writing. It also opened doors to freelance editing opportunities with Proofed and PaperTrue, where I help writers enhance their work by improving clarity and increasing impact.

Completing Knowadays’ Becoming A Freelance Writer course with distinction in September 2024 marked a pivotal moment in my career. It led directly to the opportunity to contribute to the Knowadays blog, where I am eager to share my insights.
