FAQs

  • What’s the purpose of the publishing guarantee?

One of the hardest parts of launching a freelance writing career is building your portfolio and proving to potential clients that you can write well. Becoming A Freelance Writer teaches you how to write to a professional standard – and the publishing guarantee gives you the opportunity to put those skills into practice.

You will work with our content team to draft your blog posts and receive constructive feedback to edit and refine your writing. This professional advice will help you understand how to revise your work efficiently and further develop your writing skills.

By the end, you’ll have three professionally edited blog posts published under your name, plus a writer bio page on the Knowadays website. This experience will help you build confidence as a writer and give you a strong foundation to showcase your skills and attract clients.

  • Who can write for Knowadays? Do I need any prior experience?

To qualify for the publishing guarantee, you’ll need to achieve a distinction score (80% or higher) in the Becoming A Freelance Writer final assignment. You don’t need any prior writing experience or qualifications – we’ll provide all the guidance you need.

Once you’re onboarded, our content team will share our writing style guide, supply detailed briefs, and provide ongoing support to help you succeed.

  • What type of content will I write for the Knowadays blog?

You’ll write three blog posts following the briefs provided by our content team. Each brief will include detailed guidance on research, structure, and SEO, so you’ll know exactly what we’re looking for.

Your blog posts will cover topics suited to the Knowadays blog. They may be about, for instance, writing, proofreading, editing, or freelance career advice.

It is not possible to choose your own topics for the blog posts.

  • How can I use my articles after they’re published?

Once your articles are live on the Knowadays blog, you’re welcome to share links to them wherever you would like to promote your work. For example, in your writing portfolio, on LinkedIn, or on your personal website.

Because the articles belong to Knowadays, they must not be republished elsewhere. This is to prevent duplicate versions of the same content appearing online, which can affect how both versions perform in search results. However, you can freely share links to the published web pages to showcase your writing, highlight your experience, and attract potential clients.

  • Will my name appear on the published articles?

Yes! Each of your articles will be published under your name on the Knowadays blog. We’ll also create a dedicated writer bio page for you, which can include a short introduction and a link to your website or portfolio if you have one.

Every piece you write will be fully credited to you, giving you visible recognition for your work and a professional online presence to share with potential clients.

  • What happens if I don’t get a distinction score in the final assignment?

If you don’t achieve a distinction score the first time, don’t worry – you’ll still receive detailed feedback on your final assignment and have the chance to discuss your work with a tutor.

You can also purchase a second attempt and complete a new assignment brief. This gives you the opportunity to put the tutor feedback into practice and aim for a higher score. To arrange this, you can discuss it during your feedback call or email the tutor team after your first attempt.

  • Is this a paid opportunity?

No, the publishing guarantee isn’t a paid opportunity. Instead, it’s designed to give you hands-on experience working with a professional content team and the chance to have your writing published on the Knowadays blog.

It’s a valuable step toward building your reputation as a writer, helping you gain credibility, showcase your skills, and strengthen your portfolio as you start your freelance career.

  • Does the publishing guarantee lead to ongoing work with Knowadays?

The publishing guarantee is a one-off opportunity. However, we keep details of our contributing writers on record. While there’s no guarantee of future commissions, we love staying connected with talented graduates and may keep them in mind for future opportunities.

  • Who can I contact if I have more questions?

You can email any questions to [email protected], and one of the team will be happy to help! If you would rather talk with someone, let us know, and we can schedule a call.
