## How Courses Work

Knowadays courses are entirely online and self-paced with lifetime access (including future updates). Course content is written material interspersed with tutorial videos, quizzes, and practical exercises. Modules are broken into lessons and pages for digestible learning. All courses end with a final assessment – some self-assessed, others tutor-graded. Learners have access to a team of tutors for support throughout. There are no deadlines or time limits. Courses are CPD-accredited.

Technical requirements vary by course, but all require a laptop or desktop computer with internet access. Becoming A Proofreader and Becoming An Editor require a full version of Microsoft Word (2016+). Courses are optimized for Chrome.

## Guaranteed Work with Proofed

Graduates who score 80% or above (distinction) on both Becoming A Proofreader and Becoming An Editor qualify for paid work with Proofed, one of the largest networks of professional editors. This is freelance work (not employment) covering academic, creative, and business documents. Eligible participants must be registered for tax purposes in a country with a US dual-tax treaty.
